That's some nice overpriced eye candy. $1200 CAN for a Maranello?? (About $900US). You can find a used one for a little more than half that.

Those Italia Maranello basses cost half of that NEW here. I had an Italia Torino for a few years that I bought new for 399 euros.

I wonder what color the Ric is, in the picture looks Burgundy but could be black with lighting playing games.

I've communicated with this gentleman at least three times. He is not willing to negotiate. He TRULY feels the prices are fair OR he doesn't really want to sell anything, is going to take it all to the grave, or it's all just a ploy to show his wife he's trying to sell all this stuff.

(I should also note, all of these basses have been for sale for YEARS. All for the same prices. So... yeah... he's a collector who just doesn't know it yet. )
Sometimes I think, maybe I'm lucky I'm left handed. If I could play any bass I wanted, my collection would REALLY be out of control.

That's a good point, Bob. It looked like Burgundyglo to me and it is the right era, so I didn't think anything of it. But, you are right. Black finishes can play tricks on you with glare and lighting.

Did he say the Rick is Burgundyglo? There a few years ago I would have paid fair money for a Burgundyglo. Not what he is asking, but fair money, for sure.

These are indeed Vik's basses. But I don't think the fact that he was in the Blushing Brides makes them more valuable in any way. He ain't McCartney. He may well be a really nice guy but, he ain't nice about communicating with potential buyers and I stand by my opinion that he's out to lunch with the prices.

The Ric is just a black one. The pic is a little wonky.
