Saw this on Ebay recently. Any takers yet? This thing is one of the sexiest things I've ever seen, and it sure as hell ranks very highly on my "want" list, but unfortunately for us both, six string fretless doesn't even APPEAR on the "need" list.

Nice bump!

That bass is a thing of beauty! I'm hooked to Status ever since I got my bolt-on headless S2 Classic 4-string, and I was lucky to stumble upon a similar 5-string shortly after, and they're all I ever play at the moment. They're just that good.

Good luck with the sale!

Wow, it's a gorgeous bass! And at this point, a very fair price. This might sound like sacrilege, but if I had the cash, I'd be tempted to convert it to fretted... :D

Good luck! It can probably be done, but the fretless necks are different from the fretted necks as they have no nut (or zero fret, like the fretted necks). The string retainer is more recessed, so the strings are directly on the fingerboard (making an open string sound much more like a fingered note). On a bolt-on it would be possible to order an extra neck, but this neck-through one is something else!

Thanks for the info Jeroen, just learned something new! Yes, easier to just buy a new neck, but in this case, no such luck with a neck-through...

.......to ME!! I FINALLY was able to meet up with Penguin after near 3 years of trying to meet up during NAMM, etc.... I finally met him in Anaheim on my way back from San Diego a few weeks back. It almost didn't happen due to time and part of travel was to meet him and see the bass. Let's just say this guy is a stellar seller and person in general. I am still in the honeymoon phase but my god.... Rob Green is a killer luthier and I got this thing setup so damn good.

Thank you Randy for going out of your way to meet and let me take part of your bass family. If I relocate down there as mentioned we will chat more frequent.

Congrats on the Sale! Forgot how gorgeous this bass is... this could easily hang in the engineering section of MOMA (Museum Of Modern Art...) in New York!
