88? I'd think it's much earlier than that, since yours still has the lawsuit headstock, which I think was revised around '82=83?

Gorgeous bass though.

I think the head stock change date varied by model.

It was advertised as an '88, but according to the serial number and the G&L Chronology page it's an '87:
