American Pro JB with maple fretboard installed

Post by paulo »

Just spotted this on FB, this guy bought a American Pro JB and took it into a guitar tech shop who planed off the rosewood and fitted the maple fretboard in.
And a new fret job too...
It came out very nice and all, but I wonder if it was worth it, would just be easier to get a Warmoth neck unless he wanted the real Fender neck...
At the time, maple fretboards where not offered but now it's possible to order one.

Based on the color I believe it's a newer unit so a better decision could have been get one from the Mod Shop rather than a rework.

Is it possible to get maple boards now? I haven't seen any further info about them online.
