Johnson JR-440-ES Dobro Resonator Acoustic Bass year: 2001
It's unfortunately time to move some basses out of my stable....
Up first is a really cool rare short scale Dobro Resonator. I did a lot of work to this bass and it plays phenomenal. Straight neck and good frets. It's currently strung with new DAddario Phosphor Bronze strings but I am going to put the Steel Strings I had back on it. These basses seem to like Steel strings better. It is in EXCELLENT shape and a very well convert to lefty (original owner plugged the 1/4 jack hole and drilled hole on the lefty side. A Clean job.....
If you want something acoustic that you can actually hear, this is it. These are the same build quality as the Regal or Gold Tone Res-bass but this one is 30" scale.
NOTE: The line in pic 3 is just a reflection, not a finish crack.
Here are the specs I was able to get from the seller and online (after a long search):
Specs:
The Johnson JR-440-ES acoustic/electric resonator bass has the big, punchy sound you can't find on regular acoustic basses. This model is constructed with a spruce top, and mahogany back & sides. The neck is mahogany, and it sports a dyed, rosewood fretboard for a classy look. It features a nickel-plated, bell-brass coverplate & tailpiece, 10.5 inch spun aluminum resonator cone, and a traditional sandcast spider bridge for an authentic sound. This versatile bass can be played acoustically, or use the built-in "lipstick" pickup to plug into an amplifier, PA system or recorder.
Features:
Spruce-Top
Mahogany Back/Sides
Bound Rosewood Fretboard
Adjustable Truss Rod
Diecast Tuning Machines
Sandcast Spider Bridge
10.5" Spun Aluminum Cone
Nickel-Plated, Bell-Brass Coverplate
1 "Lipstick" Pickup ?
Cream Body Binding
High-Gloss Sunburst Finish
30” Short Scale
* Padded gig bag included (has a rip in it but does the job supporting)
I am looking at what I feel is fair for board members here @ $380.00 and actual shipping from the buyer. I also receive the right to come to my senses and pull the listing if other things sell first.

And if I hadn't just bought my Eastwood Classic 4, I'd buy this before you could say, seller's remorse!
