Built in August 2013 in New York City, this is a lefty 5 string Jazz bass in Dakota Red with matching headstock. 21 frets, alder body, maple neck and a gorgeous Amazon rosewood fingerboard. Hipshot bridge and tuners, Sadowsky single coils with their awesome preamp that features a passive tone comtrol, active bass/treble and preamp bypass. 19 mm spacing at the bridge, 34 inch scale. very light weight and extremely comfortable on a strap. In almost pristine condition with only a few slight marks on the body but no significant scratches or dings. Nicely setup with new Rotosounds and includes a remove able chrome pickup cover, Super nice Sadowsky Portabag, polish cloth, Certificate of Authenticity and other paperwork. The tone is off the chart and really about as good as it gets for a boutique Jazz Bass. Selling for $3800 USD plus shipping from western Canada. Trades plus cash considered but a sale is preferable.
Crabby, is that a Wizzy on the bottom, and a 2x8, or a 2x10 on top? Had two 2x8's, never should have sold them, but at the time - ten years or so ago - they just weren't up to loud Rock gigs. Still have one of the original Wizzy's, but after blowing out two OEM speakers, I put a 4ohm ceramic Delta in there, and it's able to rattle the walls, and do small rock gigs like a champ! Heavy though, up around 36-40 lbs... portability is great though.
The bottom cab is a CXL112 with an older NL210 on top. I usually am not a fan of mixing cabs but these two seem to work really well together. I can fit both cabs in the trunk of my car which is great too.
Sale or trade now limited to within Canada thanks to the new CITES rules. There has to be a fellow Canuck out there looking for the holy grail of "super jazz" basses! Hit me up with trade offers as well.
Thanks, it ended up going to a lefty in Brazil via Toronto. Funny how a bass can be listed for sale forever and suddenly it just gets scooped up. Now I have to figure out why Photobucket has deleted all my photos! Looks like they now want a paid membership to allow image hosting.

I posted a bunch of photos from NAMM earlier this year and most of them are not showing... Several other photos uploaded have the same problem...
Since then I started to use Imgur.
Photobucket has decided it is going to cost you (and me) a butt-load of $$$ per year to post pics they host to a 3rd party site.
I am going to download all my pics from them, find a free site that'll allow 3rd party hosting, and get the f*ck outta Dodge. buh-bye Photobucket!!!

Well, that isn't good news, AT ALL! That would mean that all of the pics that I've posted, and the links back to them, would be broken, and I don't want that... sounds a bit like blackmail to me...
