Vintage Jazz Bass

Hey guys, Been thinking once again about selling my sonic blue Jazz Bass.
I really like this bass but I already have another 2 Jazz basses.
It was refinished as many of you know and the body did not came out 100% perfect but it is not noticeable at all unless you're looking really close to it but it looks just gorgeous.
The neck/tuners are from a 1978 Jazz. Bought it right here at leftybassist.com.
The body is from a 1975 Jazz, bought it from Frazier at Small Town Music but it also belonged to a board member previously.
The control plate, pots and knobs are also from 1975 in mint condition for it's age, purchased from Ebay.
The pickups are Fender Custom Shop 60's.
The bridge I'm not sure, just bought it from Ebay, the listing just said Fender bass bridge.
Neck plate is original from Fender but not vintage.
This bass has the 70's spacing, plays nicely and sounds really great. Can't go wrong with this beauty!
I'm thinking $1150 SHIPPED with a hard case, CONUS.
Please note on these photos the loaded control plate is from an American Standard.

I'm reducing the price from $1150 to $1000 plus shipping CONUS.
Can't get any better than that for a vintage Jazz.
Forgot to mention, the cavities are shielded with copper tape.

It will be worth the wait. If this bass had come up for sale before I bought my G&L, it would already be mine. Just listen to what a '75 Fender Jazz can do:

Verily, that is the epitome of the Jazz bass tone. I wish I could have bought that guy's entire rig.

I did some photos and soon I'll post them.
It currently has an aged white pickguard hand made by a local guy and when I had it done I had the American Standard control plate on it.
So when I installed the 75 control plate I noticed it is a tiny bit smaller where the control plate meets the pickguard so there's a slight gap in between.
It doesn't bother me but maybe will bother the future owner
So tonight I installed the American Standard control plate back on with the 1975 post/knobs and it fits perfectly.
The 75 one will be shipped together of course.
Also the body used to have a rout for a P pickup, it was filled with ash as well and you can see a little past the pickguard. You can only notice by looking close to it by reflection but it does not show by distance and believe me I've seen bad things but this does not really bother.

Believe me this is a fantastic bass and I'm trying to describe it the best I can!

Told myself I'm not buying any more 4-strings because I only play them at home and I just bought two new basses in one week... (a brand new Esh Stinger and an Aria SB-1000 that has been through a lot - and I was given a righty Ibanez ST924 for free, all in one week ). But you're making it hard for me at 1000 USD

How much would shipping to the Netherlands set me back? I guess it would be easiest with the neck detached, and possibly more affordable too as the package would be smaller?

It is priced to sell, not to seat around... And there's no catch with this one!
I suppose it would be easier to detach the neck and ship it into a smaller box,
I have a flat screen tv I could probably cut to fit better but it's really hard for me to know the exact cost until I have the exact weight and dimensions I suppose...

Jeroen, I was looking back at the emails you and I sent to each other during the mailing process when you shipped the Ibanez ATK305L to me (back in April 2012), and the price was Euro 59.60.
Did a quick estimate on the U.S. Postal Service website, and shipping International Priority Mail would come to about $103,75, based on a package weight of 15 pounds, and a dimension size of 36"x7"x15". Hope that helps!

I've been playing this bass for a couple of days and I'm almost backing out!
Regardless I will send this baby for a fret job and setup.
It's playing fine but I think a nice fret work will make significant improvement.
