I think we have had several members do the Fender ADE with mixed results.
Try doing a search on that (ADE or American Design Experience).

It was an embarrassing disaster. There's a huge thread here. Not recommended at all.

Matt is the reason Fender doesn't want to deal with lefties anymore. God forbid their customers have any standards. ;)

Haha! There were actually douchebags on Talkbass who suggested I was the problem after multiple fuck ups on Fender's part.

Here's the thread:

The link that someone posted above is about a totally different subject. My experience is posted toward the end.

By the way, I went through this fiasco AGAIN this year. I'll elaborate later when I have time.

If that someone was me, it was merely a subtle suggestion that the OP might have more luck closer to home.

And I hate to be that guy, but he may also want to take a look at G&L.

By the way, that's a messed-up story, Matt. It's ironic that I live and die by cheap-ass guitars and have never had to deal with any quality issues like that. If I ever spend that kind of money, I would be out of my mind if it was any less than an A+ experience.

I understand. And speaking of cheap stuff, I've had better experiences with Squiers. Haha

Joined a band last night, jammed with my Squier VM70 Jazz. Guys were like, "No way in hell that's a Squier". Company really stepped it's game up in the past decade or two, I guess!

Neither lefty or bass, but a friend recently ordered a custom Martin. Wong color hardware, and the electronics had to be replaced within weeks. Kept draining the battery.
