I'm also a right-handed lefty. I once had a conversation with TM Stevens about this topic. He's left-handed but plays righty,
but agreed that the "strong" hand should be the fretting hand.

A friend of mine on Facebook posted up on my page a nice picture of a lefty Sunburst Jazz bass, and wished me a Happy Left "Handled" Bass day... I wasn't aware that I needed a "Handler", but I thanked him for the post...
