Help wanted! Scouring the Market!

Post by YeahhNahh »

Hey folks,
I'm currently in the market for a new bass. Specifically I want something with the Humbucker (Bridge) and J-style (Neck) pickup configuration. I've seen Alusonic does one, Sandberg does one; does anyone know of any other manufacturers that could be helpful? Lefty obviously as well.

Carvin definitely has what you want. Marusczyck (spelling?) as well, I'm a hairtrigger away from ordering one of those.

Welcome to leftybass, by the way.

I think Lakland were the ones that started the trend. Quite expensive though. Sandberg and Clover are great options, both German, and I agree on Carvin!

Keep in mind that some humbies are "stacked" rather side-by-side. A stacked humbie looks exactly like a J, but is a true humbie. Unless you want the "soapbar" pickup for show, then there are quite a few possibilities out there.

Don't know if the OP is still around, but another one of these just popped up on eBay:
