When we had the chance to buy these a few years ago, I opted to buy the LP bass instead and hoped a Midtown would pop up down the road...years later, I've only seen a couple pop up, and missed my one chance at a Midtown here on the board... :(

So any Midtown owners looking to unload, hit me up!

Thanks,
JD

I just sold my Midtown this spring. I bought it new in 2013 and really liked it but it mostly stayed in the case. I had hot rodded it with a Hipshot Supertone bridge and chrome top Gibson knobs and it looked amazing. The deciding factor in letting it go was that I could never get the E string to be the same volume as the other 3 strings. It was noticeably quieter. I tried raising the pickups, flipping them around, adding extra foam to get them higher, setups, different strings and even a new bridge. I guess it was just a characteristic of this particular bass. Very hard to let go such a rare and good looking bass but I just never ended up playing it due to the weak E string.
