80's Brazilian band with a lefty bass player

Post by paulo »

This is what i used to listen when i was kid, pretty good music with the sound based on the 60's and 70's.
This video is from a full concert i think. More recent with the old songs.

That's fantastic!

All I could think is that I would be pissed if I got to be at a show like that but had to stay in my seat.

Could you catch what the bass was?

He is endorsed by Tagima, a Brazilian brand.
I suppose that's a Tagima bass.

Hmmmmm, it looked like a word that started with an S and ended with a Y. And the bridge and headstock look different from the bass on the Tagima website. I guess it could be an older model, though.

It's hard to tell!
Tagima has been around in Brazil since the early 80's.
The founder's name is Seizi Tagima, he is from Japan but lives in Brazil. He sold Tagima and now days he owns Seizi Guitars.
I have an early 80's model made by him. It is stuck in Brazil now, i'm trying to figure out a way to get it here.
It's another JB copy... Marupa body and marfim neck with rosewood fingerboard. The pickups are EMG. Here it is:
