56 Pbass-ish

Post by paulo »

This is a copy of a 56 Pbass that i've also got not long ago. It's a good player. I always wanted to give a try on one of these but still i am not a big fan of maple fretboards.
I didn't do a single thing on this bass. According to the previous owner the bass is 5 yo and the body is alder with obviously maple neck. A logo was added just for looks. I have no idea where the body and neck come from but they are not one of those cheap Ebay kits. The paint job on it came out beautiful but the pickguard is not perfectly tight to the edge of the neck on the right side and to the control plate but it is not bad.
The bridge is original Fender American Standard string thru (same on the modern JB and Pbasses) and the pickup is a single coil Seymour Duncan SCPB
Overall if i wanted to put one of these together even with a nice paint job like that it would cost me much more. This is a great bass and has that cool old 50's vibe. 375 plus shipping CONUS.
