Custom paint job on a parts bass
Custom paint job on a parts bass
I put together this Pbass style bass with parts from different places, the neck was from the board member leftystephen. My buddy painted it for me with the same original color of the 1957 Cadillac Eldorado, the Fender Lake Placid Blue. Haven't made up my mind about the electronics but it plays really sweet. It seems like the body is made from maple (heavy and bright sound)... Fender American Standard bridge, Squier tuners and a pickguard purchased form UK.

Excellent! Is that an Alumitone pickup you have in there? How do you like it?
Great color, too. I love vibrant blue on a bass. Lake Placid Blue is absolutely my favorite Fender Color. If they offered it on a lefty PJ I might have bought one already.

I had in my Pbass for some time and it's just like pjmuck said, it's more of a modern sound. To me brighter and louder but very good.superheavydeathmetal wrote:Excellent! Is that an Alumitone pickup you have in there? How do you like it?
