For sale feeler, F Bass BNF5

Post by markcv »

Good day eh from the great green north (sorry all you guys on the east coast, we've had no winter on the west coast in Canada).

I've come to the realization that I probably don't NEED a $5,000 fretless bass. As incredible as this instrument is, I need the cash that it represents more as I'm looking at starting up a business and it needs capital.

So, F Bass BNF5 fretless 5 string in a beautiful light blue burst, which I think they call Faded Blue, it's not listed on the F Bass web site as an available option. Swamp ash body wings with flame maple center tone block. F bass high quality gig bag. Very few hours on this bass and it hasn't left my smoke free music room since I got it. This bass cost me just over $5,000, I'm looking for offers on $3750.

Will also include a brand new F Bass leather strap in gun metal blue and 2 un-opened sets of F Bass strings, same ones that come with the bass.

Probably one of the finest fretless 5 string basses on the market in as new condition.

If you like woody basses, this is the cream of the crop fretless. George F don't mess around. He is in my top 3 best bass builders.

I'm trying to figure out what the sixth knob does. Does this have a 4-band EQ? Or a mid sweep?

Ha! Correct Addison. And don't forget that the bridge pickup volume knob is Push/Pull active/passive and the active EQ is boost only.

I'm honestly blown away you're selling this bass, man... you were searching for like 4 years for a top-end fretless and this thing fell out of the sky.

If I didn't have my ZON fretless, I'd be all over this.

F Bass BN5 • ZON Legacy Elite 5 • ZON Sonus Elite 5 Fretless • ZON Sonus BG5 • Fender Custom Shop '64 NOS Jazz • Fender Custom Shop '75 NOS Jazz • Fender ADE Precision • Music Man SR4

@ Chris: Yeah, I know. And you were the one that told me about this bass being available and then I bought it. But I've had some priority shifts, had a big discussion with my wife about the biz I'm looking at putting together and required capital for it, and decided to keep the Pedulla. Which is also a high end fretless. With the BNF5 it's a lot of money tied up in an instrument that it's looking like I'm going to have less time to put into than I thought, particularly wit this current re-evaluation.

This is a truly Pro instrument that will need the love and attention it deserves.

This will represent a savings of about $1000 or more off the new price for whoever buys it and it is in immaculate condition.

For whatever it's worth, I think it's fantastic that you are taking a chance and pursuing what you have a passion for. Sure, this is a sweet bass, but I think parting with this bass would be easier than keeping it, staying at your current job, and wondering every day how things would have turned out if you had taken the plunge and started your own business.

Besides, in two years you'll be pulling in 5 million bucks and you can offer Addison or crabby or whoever $9000 to buy it back, and he'd gladly sell it back to you at that price, and that will be chump change to you at that point.

I hope your new business is a resounding success!

Not to divert from the topic of this fine forum but I thought I would post a minor update: here's a photo (1 of many plus videos) taken with the UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) that I purchased with the funds generated from the sale of this fine instrument. Business plans are moving forward and there's a possibility this may work out rather well. :)
