Spector EURO4LX

Post by andrew »

I've also got the fever for a Spector bass right now. I know there's a few out there so maybe one of you guys are willing to part with one.

Few things I'm looking for:

-I want a solid black finish or a natural finish bass. Might consider black stain too.
-gotta be under 10 lbs.
-any mods or upgrades over stock please let me know.

That's about it. I'm clueless about Spectors so any that come up I'll be deferring to the resident Spector experts, so expect a third party chime in. :)
Anyone seen one used for sale anywhere please let me know too. Thanks!

What they have on Adirondack Guitar, $2079 is what his sale price is but I did just buy a Rebop from him for $1299 so he can be flexible on price. Not the conventional P/J pickup though

Thanks for the heads up. Adirondack mentioned that one to me too. I should've mentioned I also want the classic p/j pickup configuration.

I've also asked about this one: http://www.adirondackguitar.com/lefty/s ... _stain.htm Denis say's they don't have it in stock. But the Rebob is also a beautiful bass!

He did say he can order them now 1 at a time so I might do that when I go to get my Euro after the Rebop gets to me

How could PJ Rubal help?

Any recommended Spector dealers to order through besides Adirondack?

He can make an order for you and probably get you a better price. I've been talking to him myself about a new euro, takes about 3-4 months to get one on a custom order.

I deal Spector through the shop I work at in Edmonton (Innovations Music). Lead time on a custom Spector (90 days+).
Lately it's just been a lot of Legend/Performer series stuff going through the shop. All I have left on the wall right now for Spector inventory is a lefty Legend 4 in black cherry.

You should ask Spector to put you on their dealers map/list on their web site.

There are some "issues" regarding the way Canadian dealers are being handled. Triumph Music is listed as the only dealer in the area, and they went bankrupt around 4 years ago.

My wife and I just bought a house, so I am thinning the heard to pay for closing costs and such (:

I bought this 5-string Spector from Addison in 2012 that you may (or may not) be interested in. It meets each of your criteria, and sounds amazing. Breaks my heart to consider parting with her, but I've got bills to pay.

For your consideration:

Thanks but I don't play 5 string basses (at this time).

I just bought Graves Euro4LX a few weeks back, so I'm loving me some Spector bass. :)

Definitely post an ad in the for sale section, I know a few guys here who'd probably be interested in it.
