Thanks for the pics and review Mark. I remember that bass from their Facebook page - it is a really beauty. I had a Carvin with piezos and they did not do anything for me either. The build quality on Carvins is really high imo too.

I am really interested in the Icon series and I would love to have a 4 string built to the same specs as yours but with a no-show top.

They have a very nice Icon 4 in stock right now with a flame maple top and walnut body but with a red stain. Looks nice. The other thing to look into is whether or not the bass has the hum bucker soap bars or the single coils.
