4 String basses with 35" Scale

As my band is playing in D/Drop C tuning and I only like the handling of 4-string basses, I would be really interested in 4-string leftys with a 35" scale. There are certainly enough custom builders who would implement such basses, but I would like to have some basses out of serial production and within the 1000$ price range.

Until now I've only found 1 bass which is the Warwick Rockbass Vampyre Darklord (sold with F#/B/E/A Tuning).

Is there really no other 4-string lefty with 35" scale you can get without contacting a bass guitar maker?

Spector does 35" scales on 4 string basses. The EURO4LX35. They are not cheap but great basses. I have one of these and drop all strings a step and a half.

Not sure who else does 35" scale. Some 34" scale basses can easily handle 1 full step and drop (C) with ease. Schecter might be one of them. I prefer 35" scale for low registry but 34" can work.

I would really love to find some Spector basses for testing but in Europe that is really difficult

I also browsed through the list of Schecters but I guess the C-5 is a 5-string model with a wrong picture (Strings also says .045-.130).

But on the Schecter website it says that the Diamond Custom P Active has a 35" Scale (but I guess that this isn't true as the passive bass has a 34" scale)

Lakland does 4-94's in 35" scale... I know they've made several for Tobin Esperance from Papa Roach.

USA Laklands are spendy, though.

Have you considered getting different string gauges such as .120 for the lowest string which would be ideal for your D/C tuning? DR makes the DDT string set for downtuning. The lowest string is .115. It should work too.
if you want a 35 scale to get more definition you may want do a little research. It is far from being an obvious improvement. Gravesbass and I were recently talking about 5 string basses scales 34 vs 35. You can easily get as much definition with a 34" scale. (FYI Gravesbass has owned a gazillion fivers). 5 strings Musicman Stingrays have a 34" scale yet have an excellent B definition.
Personally I would just experiment with string gauges first since finding a 35" scale 4 string at a reasonable price seem to be a challenging undertaking.

Heavier gauge strings might do the trick on a 4 banger. You can also get a 5 string set and use the B as the E string down (toss the G string) depending on how low your going. I would just find a set of cheaper strings to try foist like Dunlop HeavyCore (Heavy) but keep in mind you might have to file the nut a little for a proper fit.
