Amazing that after all these years of posting here, I haven't "officially" been in a band as a bassist since 2002. While I've kept (somewhat) my bass chops up here at home and singing and playing rhythm guitar in various projects over the years, to say I've missed being in a band as a bassist is an understatement.
I have joined The Turnback as bassist/sometimes lead singer. They are a Queens-based Power Pop band, and they have a couple of full length CDs, singles, and even a feature length film under their belts (Drawing with Chalk). Here's a video they made. Note: I am NOT the bassist here, however, but I'm looking forward to shaking the rust off and writing/working with them:

Ha! I remember these guys from a couple of years ago when they played at the International Pop Overthrow Festival in Liverpool, UK. The band I was in at the time - and for 11 years - played there that year, and several other times as well. They're called Clockwise. The power-pop community really is a small world.
Some really classic, bouncy basslines if I recall. I'm sure you're really gonna enjoy being in a band again. Especially one like this. Have fun!

Sometimes I think, maybe I'm lucky I'm left handed. If I could play any bass I wanted, my collection would REALLY be out of control.
