Let's geek out about the new Fender American Design bass creator. Post a pic of the bass you want to/intend to/wish you could buy in this thread.

Anyone else notice the gold hardware is only available on the vintage designs? I wonder why.

The hardware used on the modern stuff is all completely different... both the tuners and the bridge.

They probably have piles of gold vintage-style hardware laying around.

Are you selecting "vintage body style" or "modern" in the first step?

Jeez. Now I'm thinking this:

I have a Jazz Bass problem.

My favorites so far:

This nice little Aerodynesque mimicry

…and of course white with tort never fails — especially with the binding and the block inlays

I like Matt R.'s most recent creation, but for me the nod goes to the one with the binding and block inlays.

Here's one I cooked up really quickly. It's got a little Les Paul cherry burst flair to it.

I did not try to design one yet as you need to do it from a computer but I am glad to see you can choose the traditional bent metal bridge. Over the years I got to prefer it over Badass and other kind of "upgraded" bridges. Especially if you use flatwound strings.
