I just ordered one of the Damien Elite-5's for $279.39, slightly more than Yolly111 saw it listed for, but still an unbelievable deal! Amazon is still listing the right-hand version of the same bass for $649.00! Bass purchases are usually few and far between for me, but I already had an Amazon gift card to apply toward the purchase, so that pushed it into impulse buy price range. It will be here on Friday (free two-day shipping, gotta love Amazon Prime!). Many thanks to kmf for spotting this deal!

I received my Studio 4 on Monday, what a fine instrument for such a killer price.
The price is now 322.00, and Amazon refunded the price difference from what I originally paid.
Amazon will refund any price drops for seven days after delivery.

A couple of years ago I went to a multi-band concert. The opening act was Edgar Winter (He and his band absolutely killed!). His bassplayer was using a Schecter Studio and sounded fantastic!

I received my Damien Elite-5 from Amazon today. It does have a few minor cosmetic fit-and-finish issues that a bass that normally retails for $600-$700 shouldn't have. Maybe that's why they are on sale. Nothing I can't live with, though. From a playing standpoint, it's very comfortable to play and sounds very nice. Its tone is similar to my Stingray 5 with its selector switch in parallel mode, but the dual pickups give many tone options (sadly, dual pickups aren't an option on a left-handed Stingray 5). It's smaller and lighter than I thought it would be (exactly 9 pounds, according to my bathroom scale). The electronics are surprisingly good, all EMG parts inside and very clean wiring.

Long story short, this bass is one helluva deal at this price point. As I write this, the asking price is $347.94, and there are 7 left. Act now while supplies last!

Edgar Winter, d@mn I bet that was an excellent concert. I saw a video of brother Johnny that was shot a few years ago. He didn't look good. In fact, he mostly stayed seated but the man can still play the blues with the best of em.

Peter Frampton was also slated to perform but that was the year of the big flood in Nashville and all his equipment was destroyed.

All the performers were very good but Edgar Winter and Steve Miller were fantastic!
I would have hated to have had to follow Edgar Winter, they were so good it was intimidating.
