I've decided to take the Schecter Model T off the market for now. (Unless somebody makes me an incredible offer. ;) ). Too cool a design and color to let go. Going to do some revisions on it, i.e. new pickguard, block neck, install Rod's PUPs when they get here, etc. Thanks

Buzz received! :D Huge props to pjmuck for excellent communication, packing, shipping, and patience. You sir, are a gentleman, a scholar, and a judge of fine basses!

I'v been so busy that all I had time for was to pick her up and unpack a few hours later. Haven't even plugged her in yet, however, I'm confident the Buzz is a player.

You were also right about the weight. It feels like between 7 and 8 pounds. WAAAYYY lighter than my MVP 5.

Thank you pj!

@crabby: Ha! Funny! :lol:

I plugged in the Buzz last night. While the lines are the merest hair proud, indicating the need for a fingerboard re-finish, they aren't too bad and the neck, it's like buttah! Very jazz bass like in shape and feel. Condition is excellent, even the case is in very good shape. The case candy was a nice touch PJ.

After playing her for a bit I think I will go for a preamp though. Just the stock EMG's aren't really to my taste tone wise with no separate preamp.

Very happy twin Pedulla owner here. 8-) Hmmm... do I hear a triplet calling...

Awesome news, Mark! I'm glad it made it there safe and sound. In a perfect world, If I could have had a hybrid of the Pedulla with the versatility of my Wal's prepamp I'd have the perfect fretless IMO. Maybe that Pedulla with the ACG filter preamp will be killer. Let us know if you decide to go that route. I'm dying to know how they sound.

Just received the MTD, 1st of all let me say...WOW!
It was packed very well, arrived quickly and when I got it out of the packing and opened the case inspected it and the pictures really don't do this bass justice!
Pete is extremely nice to work with and now I just need to convince him to part with the Charvel lol.
Thank you Pete, you are most honorable.

I bought an ACG EQ-01 from Danomite. It's now installed in the Buzz... two words: HOLY CRAP! What an incredibly versatile tone machine.

Still getting used to it and discovered something mildly annoying after installing: of course, since the pots are surface mounted there's no way to make them left handed. Apparently, when Alan builds a lefty bass for somebody even the pickup pan pot is backwards physically so when you turn it towards the neck pickup you're actually getting the bridge pickup and vice versa.

So, I noodled with it a bit and after looking at it and thinking about it, the individual low pass filter boards which each have a stacked pot on them for each pickup, have ribbon cable connections to the main board. I thought, hmmmm... what if I reverse the connections on the main board from the pickup boards?

Lo and behold it worked! So now the pickup blend pot at least works properly.

Apparently, even Alan Cringean himself hadn't thought of that. So if any of you want to try one of these give that a shot for less confusion.

Excellent thinking!! Very simple solution but a hard one to come by. I would have gone crazy trying to figure that one out. That says alot about you man.

@Milo: thanks man. Took a while to work that out. A couple of emails back and forth to Alan in which he said that the preamps were right handed... period. I suggested the idea to him and he basically said give it a shot. It SHOULD work. And it did. Surprised he never thought of it... seems like lefty players don't get thought of very often in the design phase do they?
