Where are you from?
If you're in Europe, there's some stores in the UK that still have a few lefty 4003's in stock. I bought one brand new last friday at a price that won't even buy you a secondhand 4003 in some places. The GBP is relatively low compared to US and European currencies right now, so it may be worthwhile checking out the UK market.

Certainly! I ordered mine here (the mapleglo one, they still need to remove it from their website) for 1516 Pounds + 35 GBP shipping to the Netherlands. That's 1655 euros, which I think is a good price if you consider some stores have raised their prices to compensate for both the low Pound and the poor availability of lefthanded Rics. Rickenbacker has ceased production of lefties and some vintage reissues (and even 12-strings, I believe!) for a while to clear their huge backorderlist of regular righthanded instruments. If you'd order one new now, you'd have to wait two years...
