I'm sick of Alder and Rosewood

I have some basses with alder bodies and rosewood fingerboards I really love, but I'm sick of it being the only thing offered to us by so many companies. Why can't we get more ash or mahogany bodies and maple or ebony fingerboards?

especially MAHOGANY! I want something that has as much fullness and bassy sound as my fricken Les Paul did!

Both my Stingrays are ash bodies with rosewood boards. I wasn't interested in maple as the Stingray maple boards seem to get dirty fairly fast.

Both of these basses are damn heavy but they sure sound good.

Of course none of the special edition models with "tonewood" bodies are ever available as a lefty at least with Music Man you can have any color you want. I swear I will never own another black bass!!!!
