NBD and my current "Bass Wall"

Post by Addison »

I just bought a Pedulla MVP 5-string used from a very cool guy, and it was in like-new condition!

Image

Here are the specs...

2011 LEFT-handed MVP 5-string
19mm string spacing
AA Flame Maple
PJ pickups
gold color hardware
Arctic Night finish
Hardshell case

The bass is amazing... sounds absolutely ridiculous and sets up like a dream. I feel really, REALLY lucky that I stumbled across this deal. These do NOT come up often in lefty and they are NEVER in this great of shape.

Can't wait to get home to play it some more!

Here's the current bass wall...

From left to right:

1.) Elrick e-volution Gold Series 5-String, Holly top
2.) ZON Sonus Elite Fretless 5-String, Koa top
3.) ZON Sonus BG5 Billy Gould Signature, black matte
4.) Pedulla MVP 5-String, Arctic Night
5.) Fender Custom Shop '64 NOS Jazz, Seafoam Green

From not having a single fretted 5-string a couple of months ago to having this collection, I'm feeling pretty lucky right now.

8-)

That's the best config for the Pedulla basses. My fav in the fretless (PJ) rather than soap bars too.

Awesome collection! Those Pedullas are incredible, I just can't get over the way they look... But every time I hear someone play one I'm just in awe, both fretted and fretless.

Nice wall indeed! Where the BG5 come from? Is that something you had Joe create for you?

Joe surprised me with it when I went there to visit a few weeks ago... he was aware of the whole AC debacle and whipped it up for me.

I had a suspicion that he was up to something... but I was genuinely surprised when I saw it.

It wasn't "free" or anything... I do a ton of work for him and I'm not on his payroll. So the bass was paid for through services... but I told him a long time ago that BG was my hero and one of my main influences and that I always wanted one of his basses, so he made me a "no frills" version with a matte finish and regular Bart 918 preamp.

It was a very, VERY nice surprise.

If you ever invite me to your house or if I ever find out where you live, I swear I will knock you out unconscious and you will never see those basses again. On a second thought, I'll leave you the CS Jazz to get you by. ;)
