Hi folks,
Well, it has been about a year since I picked up a lovely Yamaha TRB1005 from iozz on this very forum and thought it about time I posted a video or 2 of it being used in anger...
so, for your viewing delight here are a couple of videos of me rocking that amazing bass with my band Liquid Jacket, hope you enjoy!!!
cheers,
J

Too bad I can't hear the bass at all in those videos, but cool band, man! You guys are tight and seem to be having a lot of fun on stage. And TRBs are great basses!

yeah it isn't all that prominent cos it was outside so it kinda disappears a bit... bass plays awesomely though!
cheers for watching!

Re: Yamaha TRB1005L
I have the same bass and I really dig it too. Especially when I discovered the internal trim pots in the preamp. I mostly dialed out the phanton coils for each pick up, it is a little more noisy but the sound has more punch and a more aggressive attack..
Overall the clear and bright sound of this bass allows it to cut through in the mix.
The only thing I don't dig as much is the voicing of the preamp. I tend to leave it flat and use the amp eq instead.
