This is for showing off your collection of southpaw basses.
If you want to chat about a particular bass please start a new thread in the discussion forum. Let's keep this section all eye candy all the time.
"Bass player is playing one night at a country bar, the owner's daughter takes a fancy to him, and sneaks him into her room after the gig.... the door flies open, and there stands the father with a loaded shotgun, catching the two lovers in amorous embrace. The bass player, buck-naked, grabs his bass, and, as he leaps out the window, the father unloads a blast of buckshot at the disappearing hindquarters.... the only ass the buckshot finds is the ass-and of the bass player's beloved Fender... leaving a permanent reminder of a memorable gig...."

You go to all that effort to make a dream bass that looks and sounds the part, and you slap those modern tuners on it? Sorry, but that's sacrilege. Go find yourself some good 'ole rusty open tuners that barely turn and then we'll talk.
Seriously though, this is and amazing job and one of my dream basses in THE finish I've always wanted. If you ever decide to unload it, let me know. But ditch those tuners first!

Tuners what came on the bass since it is a '97. The tuners are warped like the rest of the hardware although the picture does not show the detail that it does in person. The bass sounds incredible. Huge difference in the sound - Poly vs Nitro (IMO).
Didn't you posted it before? (I recall a few negative comment from the anti-relic brigade). Anyway, I still very much like what you did. I am quite intrigued by the difference in sound poly/nitro as I have the exact same 97 PBass. Mine has those Original '62 Pickups which I like better than the stock pickups.
I wonder if it is possible to use some kind of yellow teint on the dots to make them look like clay dots. I was thinking of doing it on my bass as I like the look of clay dots a lot. What do you think? Or anyone's suggestion on dot relicing.
