Home made PJ - top brand parts

Recently bought an ash P body on eBay, made by a Belgian luthier (EG custom).
I put together a fine PJ bass with this body. I used the following parts:
Warmoth neck, maple/maple.
SD SPB-2 / SJB-2B pickups
Babicz bridge
Hipshot tuners and string retainer.
Strings are d'Addario Chrome flatwounds.

That looks like a great axe right there. Real sexy. Nicely done.

What was your total build cost? How did you finish the body, neck and fretboard?

The bass plays very easy, thanks to the low action and the high string tension.
It is quite heavy though, abt. 5.1 kg (don't know how much that is in ounces or pounds, lol)
I finished both the body and neck with Danish oil. I put 5 layers of oil on body and neck, also on the fretboard. I polished everything afterwards with steel wool and then rub it with hard wax. Although Warmoth says the warranty would become void if one uses oil for a finish, I just did it. No problems with moist or whatsoever.
Total build costs are about 600 Euro (615.USD), most expensive part being the neck (Warmoth showcase model, incl. shipping costs to the Netherlands abt. 250 Eur).

5.1 kilograms to pounds = 11.25lbs 9 my ATK305, and Carvin SB5000 both weigh that much!)... 600 Euros to Dollars is $811.00 - still a great deal considering the parts used....
