FS: Spector 1999 NS-4 CRFM Trans Red MINT
I have been moving some more of my basses due to financial things coming down the pipe. I just sold my prized Lull M5V and this is the last for a while.
What we have here is a minty Spector NS-4 CRFM (CRFM stands for Czech Republic Flame Maple) 34" scale. This Spector has the same solid wings as the USA models. This one has SOLID Flame Maple Wings.
The neck on this is slim and has a more comfortable taper at the heel of the bass. Its more gradual. I wish Spector still did this.
The valute has a "knuckel" looking support at the nut.
This bass has the older SOLID brass bridge and Gold Hardware (they use zinc alloy dipped in gold now on the EURO models).
The SS headstock logo is real crown inlays, not the newer decal.
The dot inlays appear to be real abalone as opposed to mother of pearl. It's pretty cool. I think they built these pretty damn good. They no longer use the dot inlays and use the more oval inlays that are mother of pearl.
I have to get the weight but its about the 9.5lb range.
Pickups are EMG P/J active pickups with a EMG BT Preamp. I pulled the BT (will include with sale) and put a "new" 2013 Spector Tone Pump with output adj dial in it. I like the crystal it puts out.
If you want a fabulous Spector 4 string at a great price, here is your chance. I will not lower the price right now. This is one of my collectors and only moving if I can get a decent amount for it. I am not in a hurry. This is a feeler.
Bass will come with newly installed preamp and a generic gig bag.
•• Excuse the crappy cell phone pics. My pics usually are to notch. Ill try to get some better ones tomorrow if there is any sun... Thanks for looking!
•• UPDATE: Here is a link to Dropbox of more pics outside. Its very hard to get a good shot with red basses.

Price is $1300 Shipped Lower48, B.O. Good luck finding one of these in this condition for this year......

This is the same model as my Spector - I cant begin to tell how great they are, and the Tone Pump is a very cool upgrade!

Re: FS: Spector 1999 NS-4 CRFM Trans Red MINT
i swear to God one of these days i'm going to buy (at least) one of your basses!
Just off the top of my head I nearly succumbed and bought your K.S. Tiger Elite, last week's Lull and this fella right here. And I'm sure there's a 1/2 dozen more I've forgotten ....

The Ken Smith 25th Anniversary is one of the 5 I wish I NEVER sold. That bass was off the hook best woodwork ever.AzWhoFan wrote:i swear to God one of these days i'm going to buy (at least) one of your basses!

This baby is up on the evil-bay.... I wasn't going to move it and hate to get rid of it but need all the dough to pay off the incoming later. Solid Maple Wings are a rarity on the EURO's.
