First ever video clip of my band

Post by Jeroen »

Recorded the first ever music video with my band Eve's Fall, for our first single "Enough!"
We uploaded it on Youtube today. I think it turned out pretty awesome! Please check it out :)

Featured in the video is my Warwick Streamer LX5, but I actually recorded the track with my Ellio Martina Forza 5 through an Ampeg SVP-CL, sent straight to the desk :)

You're right it did turn out great. The mix let me hear every instrument and vocals clearly even though laptop speakers. Your playing is awesome - do you always play with a pick? Well done!

Thanks! :)

The pickstyle playing is something that just happened during the recordings, and I stuck with it. We liked the sharper attack and more agressive tone a lot, and I would get a more even tone than with fingerstyle too. We have one song where I play fingerstyle and slap, but everything else is played with a pick now.

Wow! Great song and video!! Plus, I like that it's in English... although your singer would sound great in any language! She's got some pipes on her.... 8-)

Thanks all! :)

The mastering was done by a good friend of ours who also does our live sound when he has the time. His name is Dave Schinkel, he's a freelance sound engineer and we share a large storage booth where we built his professional studio, which we also use as our rehearsal room. He graduated on live surround sound (mixing an actual band live in surround!) together with a producer friend of his, they developed a really cool concept.

We have released our debut album as a pre-order on Bandcamp last week, and set three tracks (the above single, and two more) for immediate download after purchase even though we won't release the album until the 25th. You can also stream all three tracks on Bandcamp :)
