USA G&L L2000 w single coil mod

Up for sale, USA G&L L2000, blueburst over ash, rosewood board with 1.5" nut, pristine condition. It has the single coil mod, done at the G&L factory. Selling because I bought another L2K so gotta sell. Price $600 plus shipping. Please note, due to work I can only ship on a Saturday. I have sold here before and on ebay I have 100% positive feedback (my ID is bhunt1-2137), so no worries. Pic:

Will ship with fender lefty tolex hard case, one latch doesn't always latch but otherwise nice. The bass was ship from where I am to Fullerton CA to the factory when my local shop couldn't get the single coil mod to work. Now it is great, works just as it should, I even have the factory inspection tag. Another pic:

Nice bass. What exactly is the single coil mod and how is it operated?

There is a series/parallel switch standard on the bass as it comes from the factory (though you can order them with the 3 way switch). The single coil mod makes that a 3 way switch so it is series/parallel/ single coil. It gives it more different tones. I like single coil because it's not as distorted or 'wooly' as the g&L humbuckers can be - it's more like a jazz. Although series is really wooly so that is good sometimes too

By the way, I can't get over how affordable used USA-made G&L's are in the US! Over here, the Tributes are quite common but a USA-made G&L is something special and the prices can go well over 1000 euros for a used one. I've bought an ASAT Special (guitar) and an SB-2 in the US in the past and all of them were incredibly affordable even after taxes.
