It must be my day for chick singers. I stumbled across this young lady whilst cruisin the interwebs looking at Lauten mics (she uses a Horizon in her modest home studio).

She young, new to the scene and I think in a year or two - or three at the most - she's going to do some really good things.

Andrew, she's in your neck of the woods. Has the CRTC picked up on her yet? lol

Her EP is a little uneven production-wise, but hey it's not bad.

She's not a lefty. Check out some of her acoustic unplugged videos. Not crazy about the production either. A little too slick/commercial for my taste, but no doubt she's tailor made for that style of music. Some catchy songs.

Have you heard of Josie Charlwood? She IS a lefty, plays guitar, keys, bass, and does some interesting things with looper and harmony pedals. I'm REALLY impressed with this girl. beautiful voice, IMO. Reminds me a bit of Harriet Wheeler from The Sundays. Check out a bunch of her stuff to get the full scope:

I've seen several of Josie's videos... she has great skills with all of the looping she does, and a very nice voice. I'm listening right now to her cover of Coldplay's "The Scientist" - nothing but her and piano - very well done, and very soulful. Definitely a lot of talent there... plus, I've always had a weakness for beautiful redheads!
