Questions about Martin Basses, the Takamine, and the Warwick

Believe it or not, I actually saw a cheap ($200) lefty guitarron in Mexico City, but did not really pay much attention to it as I was just looking for basses. The guitarron was at a store downtown called Calle Bolivar. That street is a musician's dream. The street is a six block, very narrow street filled with restaurants and different types of music instrument stores, including a guitar center size place with a Dutch name that seemed really out of place in a spanish speaking country. I spent three hours just walking from store to store and was barely able to scratch the surface. Amongst the highlights I saw were a lefty GL Sb-2, a Paul Grey ATK, a lefty American Jazz Standard, and a lefty Ibanez 5 stringer (most of these were at one place). There were a couple of Mexican made budget stingray copies etc., and the lone lefty guitaron amongst the 50 stores or so.

I am now tempted to call Hermes music to see if they have one out of plain curiousity. These guys have US and Mexican operations.

Anybody ever seen a lefty guitarron or a conversion?

If you ever go to Paris, South of Pigalle place famous for its... cabarets, prostitutes, sex shops, le Moulin Rouge..., you'll find Rue de Douai, a line up of music instrument stores with in the middle of it a store specialized for lefties called "Le Gaucher". Only lefty Basses and guitars... Don't miss it if you ever go there.

I was in Paris last year, and I asked around for it, but no one could tell me where it is. I was quite embarrased by my inability to speak French, it all came out sounding like Spanish (my second language, in fact a store clerk berated me for speaking French that sounded like, in his words, a "whorish combination of Americans trying to speak French and some other terrible language"). Anyhow, next time I go to Pairs (which may be this May), I will make a point of looking for this place, especially now that I have a street to look for. Thank you for the information sir.
