Post by Rodent »

DONE!!!

here's what's about to head south to Anaheim in just a couple hours ...

Image

that's a load of work for one person building by hand (except one was done with the new CNC) to get done in three months working part-time building and holding down a full-time day-job

more images to come from the booth at the show

all the best,

Great job! I hope you do well at the show! You've certainly made a group of great looking basses!

I am stoked that i get to play all of these in a couple of weeks!

Way to go Rod, that's a butt-load of work you accomplished in a short time.

My only regret is that there is no SCPB in the bunch. ah well, no biggie at all ....

thanks guys! it was a load of work, but it'll be great to get first-hand feedback from so many different perspectives

not only is there not a SCPB, but the MM loaded lefty 4 is statying home as well (unless I choose to take it carry-on when I fly down) ... I simply ran out of time and hit my shipping deadline.

looking forward to hearing your feedback when I see you in a couple weeks

all the best,

Oh my!

I LOVE that sparkly lefty 4-string without pickguard and the CAR and OWH P's!
And I'm not at all a honeyburst guy, but it came out really really nice on those two P5's 8-)

I really dig the way they look, and I'm liking the shape of that control plate you came up with! :)

a little tase of the incredible talent that's been flowing here at the booth all week. Bill Clements and Edo Castro broke into this thre-handed jam on Sat morning ... I wish I'd have caught the first half I missed recording while I was digging my camera out (lesson learned: have camera ready at all times)

That was awesome! Mr. Clements sure gets around the show.
Did he have any comments about your basses? What other responses have you had?

Never thought I'd say this, but THANK GAWD IT'S OVER. I had to pull off the road for a two hour nap on the way home, then promptly fell into bed about an hour after I pulled into the house. :)

That white P bass was something special. I really dug the ergonomics on it. T'was very comfortable to sit down and play with.
The way it was set up, if you played it Jeff Healey (R.I.P.) style - on your lap, you could effortlessly pull out just the craziest harmonics. Way cool.

Here's a link to Mike McGee and Jabe jammin out at the NAMM booth on Day 2. Mike is playing a Regenerator GT™ and Jabe is playing a M-Series™ 4-string loaded with custom cingle coils and a Nordy 2-band pre

http://youtu.be/iTCzJKK2hrU

Thanks to all of you who stopped in and fought your way thru to say hi. booth life was unbelievably crazy most of the time, and I know there were many people who waited patiently to chat but eventually had to come back later when there was room to pass thru the aisle

all the best,

here's a short vid of the M-Series lefty 4 getting a workout on Day 4 by local session player Mike Zabrin. this was the third day in a row Mike stopped by to play this bass - I wish I'd have captured video from some of the other visits when he was jamming with others in the booth

Mike was a super guy to chat with
