The Fab Faux - Beatles Cover Band

Post by fivebass52 »

Putting this up for austinleftybass, but I'm sure you've seen this before! Still, four top studio musicians (Will Lee on bass) doing Abbey Road is a treat to watch and listen to. Just curious, are they literally doing the songs note-for-note?

The Faux are doing a mini tour. Our local radio station is giving away tickets to the L.A. gig.

Gotta love the Fab!!

Saw them last year, great time! They stick true to the music and do not even bother dressing up. The band looked like they were really having fun.

Wow...that is awesome. I never got what the big deal was with the Rickenbackers, but man, after hearing it played here, that tone is just something else. Usually, I hear about the Chris Squire trebly rick sound, but this sounds quite bassy. I feel GAS coming on, which is not something I want, especially when it can't be satisfied short of seeling my life away. listening

There was just a Beatles festival over the labor day weekend here in DC with a whole bunch of tribute bands coming in. Couldn't make it. Now, I regret not making it out.

Okay, now if I can only get to Austin, TX...

Quite the versatile bass, especially for not being active. That's cool. Also, love your work with a pick. My skills generally aren't that great (still relatively speaking a beginner), my skills with a pick...even less so. Anyhow, thanks for the vids, that good stuff. Saw that the Fab Faux are comnig up to Virginia soon to Hampton Roads, which is about a 2.5 hr drive from DC, I am going to try to make it out there.
