Well I'm looking for sell my basses and buy a Fender Precision. After looking a lot I found two options, Fender American Standard or the Made in Japan Reissues options.
I'm missing something?? Of course I'm taking a look to ebay, and second hand options but PBass don't seems to appear, at last the ones I can afford.
Any suggestion will always be welcome, thanks!

I prefer having those two options to the opposite, which I guess would be an MIM Standard & Squier VM.

What about the G&L SB-2 or SB-1? At least you can get any neck and any color you want on those for less than the cost of an Fender American Precision.
Also, our own resident luthier does a p-bass type that I thought sounded reasonbly priced. If I recall correctly I think Andrew has one (VRB-4).

I agree, G&L's are great values but the pickups a too hot in my opinion. Of course nothing prevents you from dropping a set of Fender 62's into it.What about the G&L SB-2 or SB-1? At least you can get any neck and any color you want on those for less than the cost of an Fender American Precision.
The MIJ P-basses are great but you need to find a used one for a decent price or you'll pay more than a brand new MIA.
