Greetings from the city of brotherly ... well ... not love,

My name is Joe and I've been a stalker for a while and finally decided to join. I'm originally from Pittsburgh so please don't automatically hate me because I live in Philadelphia!

I've only been playing for about 2 years any my musical knowledge is rather limited so I'm excited to learn from other experienced lefties.

Greetings All. Just stumbled across LeftyBassist after suffering this affliction alone for years - was overwhelmed. And then I saw Carmine's list of basses for sale, and I wept openly with joy.

For the record I'm in the UK and have recently retrieved my bass from the attic after 20 years, so that I can jam with a bunch of guys also in the throes of a mid-life crisis. It's tragic, but hell it feels good!

Weapons of choice: an ancient right-hand Columbus (Fender-Jazz copy) flipped over for lefty play; Crafter BA400 Electro-Acoustic.
Now I've started playing again, I've just bought an Ashdown EB12-180 amp, and it's time to move onto a proper LH bass: I'm cruising for something affordable and decent right now: Cort B5, Rockbass Corvette, Steinberger XT25 and Ibanez SR305 are all possibilities - I know the SR305 is the weak link there and I'd like a 505 instead, but 305s are readily available and a lot cheaper!

Cheers All, it's nice to be here!

I'm new here. Nearly new at talkbass, as well. The title of this website sounds so political. Lefty, no. Libertarian, yes.

Granted it's my second post, I believe an introduction is in order.

Hello! I hail from beautiful New Jersey. I'm living in a no-name town outside of Rutgers.
I'm a former drummer and recently switched to the bass. And of course, I'm left handed.

Hrm. Well, judging that it takes me only 30 minutes or so (withstanding traffic) to get to Newark, I'd say it is.
And if the Parkway holds up; you never know with traffic on that sucker.

Rock on! Whereabouts? North, Central, South?

(May have neglected to read that it clearly states "West Orange" on left there.
Oops. I got a few friends that go/went to Seton Hall. Grandmother used to live in Livingston too.)
