My Lefty Wal mach III unfortunately needs to go....

Post by gravesbass »

I need funds for a project and this one has been sitting idle since I purchased it early 2006. It is one of my collector basses. If you guys have any interested in it here, please ping me back. It's going up on the bay in about a week or two. I will be setting a high BIN price in hopes someone snags her. 9.9/10 condition and some might give it a 10. ALL original except for the tuners and Dunlop Straplocks. These shipped on some Wals for the era so its nothing different. I replaced the gold shaler tuners with Hipshot UltraLite Custom Black/Gold and put on Black Dunlop Straplocks. Much better look then before. I have all the original hardware as well. The electronics and everything else is still factory mint and untouched. Hard Shell case is included but not a Wal case. Steve, the original owner said the case was broken at the hinges and shipped it in a different case without having to duct tape the old one together. This one I would sacrifice $4,100 for. Any takers? More pics upon request.

I'm still working on it.I've got a bid in on the Roscoe 5 on ebay and I'm a dollar away from getting outbid.I have several people interested in a couple of my basses so I might still end up in the mix.I'd love to get this bass still but your timing is hurting me.I'll try to put something together to get it but I'll have to do some come convincing.Thanks.John

Hey John, just let me know what you can do. I just got the Roscoe 6 stringer and need funds back into my bank pretty soon. That Roscoe 3005 on the bay will go for about 2k+. Its a good one. I almost bought it new 2 years ago when it was at Bunnybass.com. They have since closed doors unfortunately. It's 2 years old I believe. Look in the southpaw spotted section of this site and you will see my new 6er. Its antique yellow but looks like an amber due to how the mahogany body took the top. I like it.

I'll try to work it out,if my bid fails I still have an extensive inventory to work with.I'll try to do some convincing.I WANT THIS BASS.I'll see what I can do but I'll be fighting an uphill battle, everyone thinks I'm crazy about my obsession...I'm working when the auction ends.If I don't steal another one I'll be working on the Wal.

Hey Deksawyer, If it does not sell this time around, I might consider shipping there if yor 100% responsible for the freight there. Wait until this auction closes and let me know if your still interested. Here is the link for the listing on the bay:

Gang,

My lovely one of a kind Wal has been sold. It closed on ebay this morning. It will be going to a new home and the guy that won is a great guy out of Lancaster, Penn. I hope it gets played lots.

Thanks Matt. Well, the guy made my Buy it Now go away and bidded twice so it never went up. It closed at 3999.00. He is getting a killer one of a kind bass but after multiple conversations with him, it's going to a good guy and good home. I hope it gets played lots because it spent most if its life in a case. We never get what we want but if its reasonable and your not shocked when auction ends, it's all good. Never set your low bit too low especially with us leftys. Not enough to place bids sometimes. :?
