I guess this could qualify as rare (at least the fuschia color...)

Left Hand Modulus Quantum 5 eBay
"Still trying to find some wine-tasting-style way to describe the almost-Jaco tone the bass player had going on."
Re: Left Hand Modulus Quantum 5 eBay
Not a bass you see every day for sure.
Re: Left Hand Modulus Quantum 5 eBay
Yep. I once had the crazy idea of getting one of these. I called Modulus a while ago and they told me the left-handed "molds" were damaged and they were not making the Quantums in lefty any more.
Re: Left Hand Modulus Quantum 5 eBay
I heard the same thing, which is puzzling since the neck seems perfectly symmetrical. I wonder how the mold was different for the lefty Quantum neck?
That's why they won't make lefty Flea basses too, apparently it costs about $10,000 to make the neck mold.

Heh, he describes it as a 5 year old bass with graphite wood neck.....
It's ten years old, graphite don't grow on trees, and I wish I could buy it, because you just know it's incredible.

I just dug some clips from some guy at Talkbass playing one of these, and while I don't know how well they will work in a band mix, they do sound amazing played solo.
