New ACG Recurve Type S

Post by deksawyer »

Here's my new ACG Recurve Type-S which I received in June. Ordered it 12 months previous to that and boy was it a long wait. It simply is the best bass I've ever owned and it sounds fantastic and partly the reason I'm looking to move my Wal on to get another 5 string. It's very heavy (13.22Ibs), but I use a Neotech bass strap and I can gig for 2 hrs no problem.

Macassar ebony top, Sycamore accent lines, Wenge core and back. The asymmetric set neck is flame Sycamore with Mac ebony stripes. Fingerboard is Acrylicised Flame Sycamore. 24 fret, 35" scale.

ACG pickups and EQ01 filter based electrics. Hipshot bridge and tuners.

Not as expensive as you would imagine and Alan builds for people all over the world.
