Hi all, I picked up a lefty Japanese Fender Jazz that is white with a red tortoiseshell p/g, rosewood f/b. I've seen a few of them around....what is it worth? It hasn't arrived yet (Friday?) but it is 'supposed to be' in really good shape. I know, hard to say, right? Just a rough ballpark figure would help. I'll get some pics when it gets here.

Thanks, Alan

Between 5-600 in good condition is fair. Did you get it on Ebay? I was looking at one that went for under 400. Was that you? If so you got a hell of a deal

I've been meaning to sell my MIM Jazz, just too lazy. Should I use the For Sale for trades as well?

If it's a natural finished FSR model I'm interested

No, it's just a regular ol' MIM Jazz. They don't seem to be going for much on Ebay, so I never bothered selling it. Same goes for my MIA Strat.

Now that I really know what I like in a bass, I wish I could order something from Japan. :x Loved my MIJ Strat.

Is it a basswood or alder bodied Jazz Bass?

I picked an alder bodied one three months ago. Fantastic quality. Bought it for 400 Euro. Will never sell it.

Sorry to interupt the hijack, but the bass came in today. It's in great shape! It has an Mxxxxxx number which apparently means it was made in 1992-3. Needs some clean-up and set-up but it's gonna be a good'un! I'll try to get pics soon.

I'll ask again.

Oh! I thought you were talking to the guy that had been meaning to sell his MIM Jazz, but was just too lazy to start his own thread. I think it's alder, but not sure.

Usually the alder basses have different tuners.

Thanks Rikkers6, mine looks like your pic so I assume it's basswood.

Usually the basswood models have smaller tuners.

Did you shoot some pics jet?

Why are you so interested in a price if you already purchased it?

Just wondering if the deal was so-so, good, great, etc.

Didn't mean to sound harsh, sorry. 8-)

Thanks, Alan
