I am dead jealous! I'd love to own a bass made on my birth year.

Holy Toledo!
That is a rare bird indeed, especially if that is the original color.
Congrats!

I got really lucky. I only paid $430 dollars with it. It's not in the best cosmetic condition but the playability is great and everything is original!

That's insane! Without really knowing about the condition, I'd say if it was in good-to-good+ shape, on eBay it could go for $1000-$1200.

Now I am REALLY annoyed that my craigslist trawler didn't pick this up.

Wow, really? I personally like the Mustang better, because of that awesome splitcoil pickup. It's much thumpier and beefier. I love Musicmasters too, but to me personally, the Mustang takes the cake.

I am a guitar player. I play bass sometimes but not that much. I sold the mustang to get the funds to buy a guitar I had an eye on for a long time!

Soundwise the Musicmaster and the mustang are very different. I just love their necks!

Selling your Mustang for primo dollars and then picking up a Musicmaster for dirt cheap... amazing!

...and it's for sale! I just made a deal on a guitar I've been looking for for years so I need to sell this one. Feel free to send me your offers.

PS: I'll post a link in the "sales" section
