In about 77, I got an Ampeg Precision-type bass. I never saw one before or after, have never seen one on the web.

It was a righty that I, having so little knowlege about guitars, just reversed the strings, never had a setup of any kind on it. Still, it was a good bass. If it'd been a lefty, I'd have hung onto it.

You guys ever seen one of those?

The only one I can remember, I think was called,” The Big Stud.”
Precision/Tele bass body, with two and two head stock. MIJ if I
remember.

That's interesting! It's been so many years now that I can't remember a lot of the details, but I do remember it had a 2 and 2 headstock. I almost wnat to say it had small black abalone enlays.

Just spoke to a friend who said that Ampeg
offered a model called the, “Little Stud). Looked
it up and found this.

Maybe closer to what you had?

Thanks!

That's exactly what I had, same color. I had a terrible amp at the time, speaker busted, so I have no idea how the bass sounded.
