I just saw one of these and I must have been living under a rock because they are spec’d out really nice! The Vintage Hot Rod 60’s Precision and Vintage Hot Rod 70’s Jazz.

Did they happen to come in lefty?

I'm not an expert but I know that Fender Did make a Hot Rod bass around 2000-2001, the colors were Black, Natural, Transparent Orange, Burst and Olympic White (although I have not seen many in Olympic White).

Great basses, I have played a few and really like them.

Thanks but I don’t think those are the same model. There was a model around 2013-2015 I think. PJ, compound radius necks, graphite reinforcement rods, ultralight tuners, nitro finish, kickass type bridge, Vintage 60’s pups. They were spec’d out as such made them the ultimate fender IMO. There was even a factory PJ Jazz with blocks. Sick.

I saw a guy on TB had a righty for sale today and I thought it was a custom build at first. First I had seen one. I’m not super Fender savvy.

Wasn’t sure if they came in lefty. Probably not.

Agreed, the only Fender Hot Rod's I have seen have been the 2000-2001 run, I will say though my main bass is a Mike Lull Hot Rod, I prefer having the Blend rather than 2 volume controls.
