Purty. What's the story on your upright? Carved, laminate? And what pickup are you using?

Laminate.

I believe it's a K&K transducer. The previous owner installed it. It's the only upright pickup I have experience with. I don't play it amp'd much. I'd say it's "OK."

I'm very happy with the bass, though. Good projection, decent warmth. I've only owned 2 lefty uprights, and both were Strunals.

Great collectio. there is some serious awesomeness going on there!

Thanks, fellas.

After owning 12 basses and selling off 7 of them, these are the keepers.

Frenchy, yeah, the '76 Jazz is the desert island bass of the collection. Despite the heavy ash body, maple neck and the reputation of mid-70's J's, it's sounds very warm and resonant. I love it so much I sold a great Lakland JO!

The Guild is my poor-man's Ric - set neck, fat single coils with one in the true "neck" position - the one I can go to for aggressive mid-range tones.

I've always kicked myself for not buying this Upright of CL. If you ever decide to sell it let me know.

That about covers the basses I'd say. Great streamlined collection. And that B302...drool. What's the story on the fretless P? Is that a true fretless neck on an aftermarket body or original body with a routed J PUP?

It's a Fender fretless P neck from 1977 refinished in epoxy.

I was planning on mating it with the '74 Fender body. Instead, I bought a 2000 Fender Hot Rod in sunset orange. I mated it's body with the fretless neck and it's neck with the '74 body.

I doubt I'll ever sell it, but if I ever decide to, you'll be the first to know.
