1977 Kasuga 'Rick' 4001

Post by NordicBard »

This was found in an OLD musicshop that closed down. History is unknown, but the seller (Ex shop owner) was almost certain it was part of payment for another bass 'ages ago'.

Neck through and 95% original (I replaced the electronics with original Rickenbacker Kit from Rickysounds) - After a deep clean and full setup including new strings from GHS she is a growling monster.

That's absolutely stunning! I saw it already on Basschat. Beautiful bass!

Also do post a bit on that 3/4 Jazz Bass, it's tremendously cool!

Thanks buddy!

Yup the Fender JB62SS is my dream bass - After I Upgraded it with the Jeff Babicz bridge and put Fralin pickups in it, it will never leave my side.

People can say all they want about short scales, I cannot hear *ANY* difference and with a 29.5" scale and 15% smaller body this thing is a no-brainer - Just slightly larger than your standard Stratocaster and I can do some crazy stretches on it. Plus that Jazz neck.. Yum yum.

Looking for a Fretless, so the 'Rick' will most likely be up for sale or trade very soon - As much as it pains me, wife would prob. kill me if I let in another instrument without letting at least one go.
