another Heritage Tribute '55® is back from the paint shop and entering into final assembly and set-up phase. This one should be ready to ship in about three weeks

I didn't know if I'd like the Rosewood fretboard with this body color ... and I am pleasantly pleased with the combo

Re: Introducing the RGW Heritage Tribute '55®
Almost as nice as mine...
Seriously folks, this is one mighty fine instrument. I'll do a proper review of mine at some point - honest! For the time being just let me say that it pushes all the right buttons for me. Build quality, playability and tone all stand close comparison with pretty much any bass I've ever had my hands on - a genuinely boutique class instrument at the price of an off-the-shelf model (even after Transatlantic shipping and taxes).

Re: Introducing the RGW Heritage Tribute '55®
I've been waiting for a couple parts orders to arrive, and all but one are now in. the remaining order contains a couple custom pickup sets from Nordstrand
when those pickups arrive, I'll be able to wrap-up work on this Heritage Tribute '55® within a couple hours

I also have several other lefty builds arriving back from the paint shop any day now. More on those when I have bodies/necks to post images of

I got flooded today, as -ALL- of my in-work orders (except the one I took at NAMM) arrived from the paint shop this afternoon. I should have images up in a different thread this coming weekend when I have a chance to catch my breath.

I had been hoping the weather here in Seattle would cooperate so I could shoot a series of images with the Seattle waterfront skyline as the backdrop, but no way

Re: Introducing the RGW Heritage Tribute '55®
thanks
CAR with a matching headstock is definitely an available option, as is the mint guard
how about some birds on that neck?
and I agree it would look spectacular

Isn't it though! I still can't believe what a great instrument this is. I believe yours is identical to mine apart from the fretboard. I'll be very keen to hear what you think after you've used it a bit.leftieray wrote:My Bass arrived a day early fantastic. can't believe the finish on this bass utterly beautiful.

Two fabulous instruments, on either side of the planet - do you think maybe we know something Rod's countrymen don't?

Stunning work, Rod. Glad to see the word is spreading.
Re: Introducing the RGW Heritage Tribute '55®
As am I!
Rod it is great to see that you are making this whole venture a success. I haven't had the pleasure (yet) of playing one of your instruments but the quality of your work is appearent even in pictures.
Leftieray, Congrats on your awesome new bass!

Re: Introducing the RGW Heritage Tribute '55®
Just finished myfirst gig with the 55. Very happy. Action and neck nice and fast
it was a jazzy type gig and the 55 sounded great at a low volume. Can't wait to play it at my local blues jam
