They won't make a lefty Ripper but they'll make this.

Snideness aside, I kinda like it. Not $999 like, but maybe $699 like.

They also has the Les Paul equivalent GTR for $899.

On a side note I love this Pic they posted at Southpaw, if you ever get the chance it's an amazing place to go! I went there once, as I had a business trip to Austin and stopped in Houston.

Yes I'm familiar with the LPJr guitar already. It's getting great reviews and I thought about picking one up. Something about a guitar with 1 PUP and just vol. and tone appeals to me.

Have never been to Southpaw and haven't ordered anything from them in over 10 years. Judging by those price tags in the photo, I'm recalling why.

get it for less at Sweetwater! Your rep can give you a better price than southpaw. In the last year or so Sweetwater has become much more flexible in their pricing. Just ask your rep for a written quote.

Cool reissue and great that it’s available lefty, I always liked the vintage originals and often considered picking up a right handed one (until the prices got crazy).

I know I’m nitpicking... but I wonder what the hell the rationale was for using the pickguard design from the 70’s Gibson Maurader guitar? Just a cheap way to avoid having to route a control cavity from the back? It has no relationship with the original EBO (or a Les Paul Jr. for that matter). I would have much preferred a version of the original’s 1 ply black design.

I agree, I like the original pickguard design better too.
A guy I know here in the Netherlands is a real Gibson bass nut, and builds really cool Gibson-inspired designs of his own. Some time ago he made this really cool crossbreed of an EB0 and a T-bird, incorporating the old pickguard style. I think it's worth sharing here:

I love the detail that went into this. The headstock overlay that ends before the end of the headstock like a T-bird would have, the heel that is slightly sanded down to look like a set neck like it would be on the EB0. I think it's brilliant 8-)

This one was inspired by the Rickenbacker 4003 Noir:

Here's some sound demos. I didn't realize it has a coil tap option. Also, as per the the second video, she interesting background. The body design is based on the original EB0 bass, and Chicago Music Exchange was involved in it's design:

I don't find a lot of information about it. Does someone know if they will be widely available, in Europe for example?
When are they supposed to hit the stores?

There's one in UK now, other than that one I don't see any other anywhere.
