LOL. Almost as cool als the Squier Hello Kitty Strat and Badtz Maru Bronco. Man, I wish they built lefties of those. I'd love to have them!

My classic rock band The Strangers did a gig a couple of weekends ago at a music store, and we were able to use any of the instruments or gear in the place. One of the guitar players REALLY wanted to play the Hello Kitty guitar, but it was way up on the guitar wall, and nobody wanted to get the ladder out to bring it down. So much for being able to play anything we wanted...

On the other hand, I was able to plug in to a Genz Benz GBE 1200, powering an SWR Megoliath 8x10 cab. Very nice equipment-
too bad I wasn't able to turn it past 2.... but even at a low level it sound big, warm, and powerful.

It's cool to see Rondo Music taking a chance now and then with lefthand basses, not only in crazy colors, but in 6-strings, and classic P-and-j basses with block fret markers, etc. And even if the basses need some tweaking or pickups on occasion, you can't beat the prices for a starter bass.

I'll be playing a total of four gigs this weekend, and have an on-going recording project on Monday. Hope you all have a chance to play this weekend too!

Aloha,
Ian

I always wanted to start up a retro psychedelic rock band just so I could justify buying one of those Daisy Rock Butterfly basses:

I'd love to have that bass to use the 32" neck, but shipping to Europe cost the same as the bass...
