I heard that our famous lefty Jimmy Haslip was a ghost player for Kiss albums and or shows.

Gene didnt play on alot of the albums in the 80s

I was expecting the hatchet model for some reason... don't mind saying this is a cool looking bass... Listing now says "This listing was ended by the seller because there was an error in the listing"... probably should have been $750, not $7500!

A lot of you might not know this, but Stuart Spector made basses for Gene, and this is likely based on one of Stuart's designs. I was in Stuart's shop in Park Slope a number of times, in the Fodera-Steinberger period of around 1978-80- and actually saw basses like the 'Punisher." I will not say this IS a Spector design, but it's damn close to what I saw.

I remember they were sold in American malls at "Spencer's Gifts".
(IIRK between the Whoopee Cushions and lava lamps.) Oy Veh!!

Or maybe it was the pic of that creepy looking dude holding the bass (which is no longer in the listing).

I was gonna post this as a new thread (Something along the lines of "Four thousand dollar Korean bass at Reverb") but decided to do a search first. Same ax perhaps?
